Visit to the President of Israel

On Sunday December 21st 2014, Dr. Mikhail B. Piotrovsky, Director of the State Hermitage Museum, and Mr. Amir G. Kabiri, President of the M.T. Abraham Foundation, visited the residence of the President of the State of Israel, Mr. Reuven Rivlin, in Jerusalem. The Israeli President congratulated the State Hermitage Museum for its 250th anniversary. He also promised to support the ongoing and future cultural collaboration between Israel and Russia. The parties agreed to meet again during President Rivlin’s future visit to Saint Petersburg.

Dr. Piotrovsky was the Guest of Honor at the 250th Anniversary of the State Hermitage Museum Banquet, organized by the Hermitage Museum Foundation Israel at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, with the kind collaboration of Mrs. Suzanne Landau, Director and Chief Curator of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, in presence of Mr. Ron Huldai, Mayor of the city of Tel Aviv-Yaffo, Mr. James Snyder, Director of the Israel Museum, Jerusalem, representatives of the Israeli Foreign Office, and numerous guests that arrived especially for the occasion from Europe and the United States.
